Optimizing And Troubleshooting Active Directory Performance

1.Log on as Administrator.

4.In the Registry Editor console, open the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NTDS\Diagnostics key.
5.In the details pane, double-click the DWORD value for which you would like to increase the logging level.
6.In the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, type 1 or 2 in the Value Data box. Ensure that the Hexadecimal button is selected. Click OK.

Check the directory service log before raising the logging level. Be sure you understand the Active Directory problem and what you are looking for. To avoid clutter in the directory service log, do not set the logging level higher than 2.
