Cancun Real Estate Celebrates Tourism Strength – Convention Expo

Tourism is the strength behind the Cancun real estate market, and for this reason it is important that Cancun is continuing to grow as market leader in various important segments of tourism. One of these areas is convention and conference tourism; starting on Thursday, April 28th, 2011 Cancun will be hosting the 10th Mexico Showcase & Travel Expo, reflecting the growing significance of Cancun in this market, and the benefits which it brings to real estate buyers.

The main objective of the expo is the promotion of Mexico for international conventions and conferences. Cancun has already been growing in this area, with conferences such as the 2010 climate change summit, and a conference of leaders from Latin America earlier the same year. Many smaller-profile events are held in the destination on a regular basis.

For Cancun real estate buyers, this growth and promotion is good news. Conference tourism is a major asset to investment in the area. Conferences can fill large numbers of hotel rooms during off seasons, and since these trips are sponsored by large organizations, the attendees typically spend larger amounts than standard tourists. Consequently, this kind of activity will bring new tourism services to the area, including anything from golf courses to shopping centers. While Cancun already excels in these areas, more choices and a greater variety of services is always a good thing for real estate buyers.
