Candle Holders For Masses

I love the dim light of candles, especially when they are lit in beautiful candle holders. There are so many different designs of candle holders available in market ranging from simple designs to stylish one. In fact, nowadays candle holders are largely being used as decorative items in homes. They are available in numerous styles, colors and sizes. However, I love to stick to some of the basic styles of candle holders, such as votive, wrought iron, hurricane and crystal holders. Let us discuss more about these candle holders:
Votive Candle Holders:
It is one of the oldest types of candle holders used from the time of ancient Romans and even before. The term ‘Votive’ in the votive candle holders means devotion. As the name suggests, these candles are commonly used as a part of spiritual offering. It is used in churches and can be often seen left burning in churches. Votive cables are small candles made from beeswax. The votive candle holders are required as these candles burn fast and melt as they burn. They are available in several varieties from votive holders to plain glass, mosaic tiles glass to colored ...
... glass.
Wrought Iron Candle Holders:
Unlike old times, today you can find candle holders made of various metals. The holders made of metals are more durable than the glass holders and add an entirely different effect to the lighting of candles. The wrought iron candle holders are available in several styles ranging from floor standing units to table top sized holders. They usually come in black or lacquered silver color.
Hurricane Candle Holders:
Hurricane candle holders are basically a glass enclosure designed to prevent the candles from blowing off due to wind. Traditionally, they were used for seamless burning of candles. As oil-wick replaced candles, they lost its importance then. However, today it is majorly used an ornamental item to enhance the beauty of your home or surroundings. In these types of candle holders, the candle is meant to burn while leaving the outer glass shield completely untouched. There is a small opening at the top to allow passage of air and smoke.
Crystal Candle Holder:
It houses the lustrous crystal and mainly used by people as decorative for home and special occasions. These candle holders are widely manufactured in Czechoslovakia where they are made from a special kind of lead crystal that helps create more effects in the candle holders by allowing cutting, engraving and stenciling.
