In spring, various animals recover from the cold winter and become energetic again. How about having a close contact with them? Today I want to introduce a good place for people to travel. It is Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.

This zoo locates in the outskirts of Brisbane, Australia and it was established in 1927, which is the oldest and largest koala zoo in the whole world. Except koala, there are many other animals such as kangaroos, Tasmanian devils, wombats, echidnas and various other reptiles.

Since it is called the Koala zoo, it mainly displays koalas. The park has a total number of 130 cute koalas. The whole environment of the park is very good and visitors also view here as the ideal place to get close to nature, so it is also a necessary place for people to visit in Brisbane. What’s more, you can pay few fees to hug koala and take photos with it. Of course, you have time limit. Even though, many famous stars have visited this zoo, such as famous pop star Janet Jackson, kung fu star Jackie Chan, Queen Elizabeth II and Vatican Archbishop.

Koala is very picky. They only eat 50 species eucalyptus among ...
... 600 species in Australia. It is fictional to say koala is drunk by these leaves. Eucalyptus leaves contain 50% water and 5% sugar and starch, so the low-energy food can let them sleep 19 hours a day to save energy, which also makes them look like drunk. Koala could climb trees with rough feet and sharp claws. The literal meaning of koala in indigenous languages is no water or no drinks. Koalas almost never come down to earth to find water to drink, because they can get enough water from eucalyptus leaves.

There are also many interesting performances of other animals. Under the command of farmer, the loyal and hard-working sheep dog could run after sheep, and their excellent performance could give you a worthwhile trip. Skilled and experienced staff could cut piece of wool, and visitors can get a small piece of free soft wool as a souvenir after the show. The zoo also prepares food which is made of milk and honey. Do not think it is made for tourists. It is used to feed the colorful wild parrots. You can feed with them and observe clearly.

Are you tempted after my introduction? Quite attractive, isn’t it?
