At just the start of the nineties, it was regarded as normal for the entire family to come together in front of one tv and watch whatever they felt like. Twenty years later, the idea seems positively archaic.

The quickest connection for smart phones is generally a WiFi connection, this means you've more or less got to be in or close to a house with WiFi that you are able to access. However as wireless internet speeds up, we'll be able to watch whatever we want on our mobiles no matter where we happen to be.

So, tv is yet one more substantial manner in which the internet has quite simply changed everything. With tvs and pcs becoming ever closer to becoming one and the same, who knows what our broadband connections will give us in the future.
