There is no denying that using a steam mop is easier than using a traditional mop and bucket. But with many choices flooding the market, choosing a steam mop can be as much of a chore as cleaning your floor is. So let's take a look at some of the options that are available.

I'll start first with the Shark Steam Mop. It's the one that just about everyone has heard of. Unless you don't own a television, chances are that you have seen at least one or two infomericals over the years for the Shark. This mop however is one that you would be best refraining from purchasing. Reviews at popular sites such as Amazon reveal many flaws with this mop including a flimsy design that often means the handle breaking and a temperature that isn't adequate enough to sanitize floors.

Bissell Steam Mop is another popular steam mop. This steam mop actually has fairly good reviews and is better built than the Shark. There were some complaints from consumers who thought it left their floors too wet but many other people were satisfied with it's performance. The problem with this steam mop lies in a fact that many people may not know. Like ...
... the Shark, it doesn't get hot enough to actually sanitize the floors it is cleaning. If this doesn't bother you, than this is otherwise a fairly decent mop.

The Haan Steam Mop is becoming an infomercial superstar like the Shark. It however has a much better track record. Something to really love about this mop is it's deluxe sanitizing tray which allows users to sanitize carpets, rugs, and other surfaces as well as floors. Plus the Haan reaches a temperature of 212 degrees F, so unlike the Shark and Bissell this mop does get hot enough to kill germs and bacteria.

Finally, there is the Eureka Enviro Steamer. This appears to be a customer favorite. Like the Haan, the Eureka gets hot enough to clean and sanitize. It doesn't have the carpet attachment like the Haan does but it is priced lower and gets plenty of positive ratings from consumers.

So there is a look at some of the most popular steam mops you can buy today. When choosing one, it is always a good idea to read up more on the ones that interest you so you can find one with the features that best suit your needs and a price tag that matches your budget.
