Using Stock Images Increases Traffic To Your Blog
If you are thinking of starting a blog and if you are a newbie starting a blog for the first time, there are a few things you have to keep in mind. First you have to decide the purpose of starting the blog, whether you are starting it just for fun or whether you are promoting your product through your blog. The contents of your blog should be precise, and it should convey your message clearly. One important factor required to develop your blog and attract visitors, is using images. Images speak more than words, and it will help to capture the attention of the readers more than the contents of the blog, and also images usually stay in their mind.
One way you can get images for your blog or website is by searching the stock photography website. First you have to find a good website; then you should go in for stock images that are not very popular, because the popular images might have been used in a number of sites already; always choose clear, natural photos and finally download only the size that you require. But, remember, you just can’t copy the image just because it is available on the Internet, you should buy a ...
... license if you want to use the photos from the stock photography websites.
Now let me tell you what stock photography is? Usually if you need photographs for your business needs, you either have to take it yourself, which will take up your time or appoint a professional photographer, which is expensive. This is when stock photos come into use. Stock photographs are photographs available on the net which are existing photographs that are licensed and can be used for various purposes like blogs, websites, magazines, advertising and graphics. These photographs are taken by professional photographs. There are millions of stock photographs on the Internet, and using stock photos brings ion a visual element into your blog and illustrates the concept. Apart from using the stock photos, you can also sell old photos to these websites, where the rights are also sold with the images.
So, don’t think stock photos are free; you have to spend money to use them. In the beginning the stock photographs were sold by agencies, ever since 1920, when the first stock photography agency was founded by a man, Armstrong Robert. But with the introduction of the Internet, the stock photos became easily available to the millions of Internet users. When you are looking for stock photos, you have to decide which category you want to use. There are two main categories, the Royalty Free (RF) category and the Rights Managed (RM) category. The RF category means the photographs are purchased by paying a one time fee, and can be used in several projects without any restriction, time limit and without having to pay each time the image is used. Where as, in the case of RM category, the payment has to be made every time the image is used and it depends on various factors like usage, size, duration, type of industry, territory, print run etc.
Using stock photographs in your business helps you to save time and expensive and increases the traffic to your blog.
