Cheap Mexico Beachfront Lots And Mexico's New Tourism Focus

In March, 2011, the various state-level ministries of Tourism from throughout Mexico met in Campeche (on the Yucatan Peninsula) to discuss the implementation of President Felipe Calderon's new mandate to make tourism the country's official national focus; besides being the place of the meeting, there is also some special significance for a development of nearby cheap Mexico beachfront lots.

The lots in question are about 45 minutes away from the City of Campeche, where the meeting of the Ministers of Tourism was held. Currently they are they cheapest beachfront lots available with full connections, highway access and building permits within Mexico, and probably well beyond. Each lot, which has 66 feet of beachfront, and comes with electricity, water and phone connections (many "cheap" lots are missing these items, and hence are low priced), costs less than $50,000 USD!

Besides coming with all the connections and direct access to a federal highway, they are located in Mexico's next up-and-coming tourist center ...
... – the state of Campeche. This fact probably has a lot to do with why the colonial capital city (also called Campeche) was chosen for the meeting.

International tourists are just beginning to discover this city, which many will identify as the cleanest and best kept-up example of Mexico's old charm; in the surrounding areas, and out along the beachfront, many of the same natural attractions exist that draw tourists to nearby places like Cancun offer eco-tourism and outdoor adventure. Sailing or swimming in the fresh natural pools called "cenotes" are just two of many of these activities.

Right between the colonial capital and the location of the cheap lots for sale there is a new development of luxury real estate, including a marina and a golf course. Besides indicating the direction the area is beginning to take, and the growing interest from international buyers (the buyers are mostly Europeans), it also helps to put the value of the lots into context; units within this development are starting around $500,000 USD – ten times as much as one of the beautiful beachfront lots down the road!

Also, it means residents who build on one of the lots will have a golf course and marina just down the road to enjoy. Another similar development is underway for the other side of the city of Campeche.

This place, the value of the lots, the activities available, and lifestyle in general, have everything to gain from growing tourism in Mexico. This is why the meeting between the Ministers of Tourism is part of a very significant process; the various levels of government in Mexico have agreed to work together to make Mexico one of the top 5 countries in the world in terms of number of international visitors and income generated.

Mexico is very well positioned to achieve this and more, and as this factor develops, those who own lots like these cheap Mexico beachfront lots will see many benefits.
