Play close attention to the Five-Element Creative and Destructive color cycles during every stage of your trip to enjoy free upgrades, discounted meals, and opportunities to make your vacation even more memorable.

Paying attention to Feng Shui details should begin before you even leave home, when you book your hotel and flight and pack clothing for your vacation.

1. The Safest Airplane. Do not select an airline carrier with drab color schemes for the interior of their planes. For better service -- and a safe flight -- pick airlines whose predominant colors are clear and bright: blue, green or red. The Chinese view red as an auspicious color for nearly every occasion. If you hope for an action-packed vacation -- and you don't have a fiery personality -- you may select a red car to spice up your trip. On the other hand, if you hope to relax, select a water color car (black or gray), especially if your dominant element at home is fire (red).
