Some Things About Dermatitis Treatment
Dermatitis is neither infectious nor a life threatening disease. It is a common skin condition that makes you self conscious and feels uncomfortable. There are different types of dermatitis according to which the infected skin may appear, but it commonly involves itchy skin, swollen, or reddened skin. There are different ways of treating different kinds of dermatitis. The most common ones in the DERMATITIS
TREATMENT plans are the use of wet compresses, Corticosteroid creams. This treatment plan is implemented to restrict further damage of the skin and to increase the effectiveness of the medicines which are used for a brief period of time.
There are different types of DERMATITIS TREATMENT like, Contact dermatitis, Neurodermatitis, Seborrhic dermatitis, Statis dermatitis, Atopic dermatitis, and perioral dermatitis.
Treatment for each is also different. In the case of contact dermatitis the cause of the rashes has to be identified and then avoided. The treatment includes wet compressions over the steroidal creams containing hydrocortisone.

Seborrhic treatment shampoos containing chemicals such as ketoconazole, pyrithione zinc or salicylic acid is present is recommended. Doctors prescribe drugs like Elidel and protopic if this treatment fails or if someone cannot tolerate other procedures of treatments.
Statis dermatitis emphasis is given for the condition created by the fluids that accumulate in the legs or ankles for a period of time. Wet dressings are also used to prevent the infection of the thickened skin which is soften by the compression and is in a fragile stage.

In this case use of lotions containing hydrocortisone, mild astringent wet dressing is also advised along with the use of Immunomodulator drugs like the protopic and elidel.
Light therapy which is about exposing the affected area of the body to UVB rays are used occasionally to help in the prevention of atopic dermatitis to re appear on the skin. The last DERMATITIS TREATMENT is of the perioral dermatitis oral drugs containing antibiotic tetracycline is used for several months along with cream comprising of mild corticosteroid.
