Malta, officially the Republic of Malta, is a Southern European country and is a group of seven islands in the Mediterranean Sea. Also, Malta is one of the few places in Europe which is green all year round. The Maltese Islands are not very large, which makes getting around relatively trouble-free. The public bus service in Malta is a good way to get around, as buses serves in all major tourist areas. Malta also offers inland adventure. The parched and rocky Maltese terrain provides visitors with a chance to experience off road driving. Car hire in Malta is a good option if you want to get to the further reaches of the island. All the road signs are in English and driving is on the left.
Renting scooters, motorbikes or mountain bicycles is also an option, but travel this way can be somewhat limited as not all roads are two-wheel vehicle friendly. Cheap car rental is available in Malta on the basis of daily rates. International and national driving licenses are acceptable, so car hire is also an option to consider. A number of internationally based car hiring firms as well as local garages also offer the services of chauffeur-driven cars.
