And the cycle repeats with the environment and human health as the end-recipient of the harmful effects.

The same standards stipulate strict guidelines for transportation and storage to prevent cross-contamination. A label indicating organic cotton is given to a company or the cotton producer is issued and certified by an independent bureau recognized by the USDA's national organic program.

Among the benefits of an organic women's clothing include reduction in allergies and chemical sensitivity. Organic cotton feels better against the skin. The environment, too, benefits from organic cotton as it is not bombarded with toxic chemicals. It promotes balance in the ecosystem and does not endanger the lives of the farmers.
