Massage Envy Helps Support Our Troops

While many of us were at home this holiday season commemorating with our loved ones, thousands of American troops and soldiers were still out serving our country. Michael Fischer, Petty Officer 3rd Class of the Navy, was one of the lucky men that got to come home for the holidays and spend it with his family; little did he know he was in for an extra surprise.

In the month of December, the spas and clinics in the Massage Envy New Jersey CoOp held a raffle where the grand prize at each location was a 16GB Apple® iPad®. Fischer decided to test his luck and enter the raffle being held at the Massage Envy Spa in Branchburg, NJ. Although Fischer was home for the holidays, he had to return to active duty before Massage Envy Branchburg's drawing was held on December 28th, missing the announcement that he had won.

Fischer's mother, Louise, picked up the iPad® in her son's name with plans of sending him his new, cool electronic immediately. ... especially during the holiday season, we have elected to award an iPad® to Louise—the mother of our contest winner—to recognize her efforts as well, said Teri Jenkins, owner of the Massage Envy Spa locations in East Brunswick and Warren in New Jersey and wife of Bob Jenkins, who owns the spa in Branchburg. She was so elated because this will help them keep in contact while he is stationed away from home in Bridgewater, NJ.

Massage Envy has always supported our troops; they have offered a Military Discount Program for quite some time now to show their appreciation for those who sacrifice their lives for our country day in and day out. The program gives all active military personnel the chance to save approximately $60 a year when they join participating Massage Envy locations.
