Is Snoring Causing Domestic Dissent In Your Household?

The importance of taking steps to stop snoring is evident in data presented by the National Sleep Foundation. According to the NSF nearly 70% of all incidents of congestive heart failure and 60% of all strokes can be directly attributed to some type of sleep disorder, primary of which is OSA.
Snoring interferes with the body's ability to relax and attain recuperative sleep. The REM period is the sleep stage where major muscle groups relax; without proper REM sleep the risk of heart failure is increased well over average. OSA symptoms include jerking of limbs, snoring, snorting, apnea, irritability fatigue, depression, ADHD symptoms, lack of concentration, loss of motivation and motor skills, kicking, heartburn and acid reflux. Without proper REM sleep any or all of these symptoms may manifest. Snoring is nothing to take lightly; it can be an indicator of serious issues.
One of the most effective methods to stop snoring is with the use of an effective jaw support to hold the jaw in proper alignment to allow air flow. By holding the jaw in an upwards position a jaw supporter effectively increases all three dimensions of air space which causes a reduction in the velocity of air and soft tissue vibrations.
