Hemorrhoid Natural Remedies - Effective Hemorrhoid Treatment

Although hemorrhoid is a painful disorder, but the heartening fact is that it can be cured completely through modifications in the life style, diet and following simple natural therapies regularly. One should carry out the treatment with patience, as things cannot change overnight.
1. The first step involves the inclusion of enough fiber and roughage in the daily diet. Green, leafy vegetables and fruits comprise the important sources of dietary fiber.
2. Drinking 2-3 liters of water daily reduces the constipation and reduces hemorrhoid problems.
3. Avoid sedentary life style and adopt sufficient work outs to check the body weight.
4. Topical application of the Witch Hazel extract (chilled in a refrigerator) helps in reducing the bleeding of hemorrhoids.
5. Drinking tea prepared from the herbs Butcher's Broom and Horse Chestnut improves the blood circulation in the veins and reduces the varicosity.
6. Taking 3-4 figs soaked in water for 8-12 hours twice daily reduces the bleeding from hemorrhoids to a considerable amount. Don't throw away the water but take it along with the figs.
7. Regular intake of Triphala, which is an ayurvedic composition of three herbs, is very useful in treating hemorrhoids.
8. Application of cold water compress or ice with a sterile cotton pad at night helps in reducing the pain. One should apply this before going to bed.
9. Taking hip baths in hot water for 10-15 minutes regularly also helps in reducing the hemorrhoid problems. There is no need of adding anything in the hot water.
