The Flat-Coated Retriever is a gun dog that originated in United Kingdom. They are developed as retriever in both land and water. A bit racier and an averagely boned, this breed weighs an average between 60-79 pounds for males, and 55-71 pounds for males, while standing between 23-24 inches for males, and 22-23 inches for the females.

Coat

The Flat-Coat Retriever is a single-coated breed. They have medium-length, lustrous, and dense fur. Ideally, their coats should be straight and flat, but breed standards allow a slight wave. Their coats are either solid liver or solid black in color. Solid yellow is rare, and is not permissible to the breed standard for conformation competition.

Activity
