There are so many reasons that people love their parrots. They have amazingly beautiful feathers, they can be so much fun to listen to (and talk to!), and sometimes they are a lot more interesting than people. Parrots like to be perched on something, and happily there are a myriad of bird stands available, in many different sizes, shapes, and materials that will suit your particular parrot perfectly.

Much like people, different parrot personalities are suited to different parrot stands. For example, shy , quiet parrots who don't know how to socialize well, or are in training would do well with a solitary perch, without loads of hooks, bowls, and accessories. More active parrots who are social birds often prefer bird stands that are multi-level, with different diameters, food bowls, cups, hooks and other parrot paraphernalia.

In many ways, parrots need their bird stands to keep their behavior under control. When they get too wild, too much time ‘parrot partying' or ‘parrot playing' or ‘parrot preening' they come back to their bird stand ...
... and relax in a place of tranquility. At their bird stands they are happy.
There is a huge variety of bird stands on the market, including floor model stands, stands that are portable, stands made from wrought iron, and stands made out of beautiful wood, such as that from the Manzanita tree.

Bird stands can be very versatile, in that the stand itself could be made out of real wood, but the perches are interchangeable, disposable plastic providing different options for your bird. In fact if you travel a lot, these stands are very convenient because you can screw them together quickly and then break them down easily, box the pieces up and put them away.

Think about it. Would an intelligent parrot - stuck in a cage day after day after day - not go crazy? (Wouldn't you?) Bored parrots scream, bite, pick their feathers, and sometimes develop a fear of exiting their cages. They seriously want to get out of the coop! Like people, parrots need to move, socialize, and exercise. When they are finished, it is a pleasure for them to come back to their beloved bird stand.
