There are few things that can fill a home with amazing smells the way scented tea can. Regular black tea often has a fairly faint smell but scented teas are usually made with ingredients that have much more noticeable aromas. The ingredients that are used and how the tea has been scented will influence how much aroma will be released when the tea is being steeped.
Some of the most beautiful scented tea varieties are those that are made with flower blossoms. This is often created through a lengthy process that is done by hand. A scented tea that is made from flowers and other items will often unfurl in water while it is steeping and will appear to float in the water, making your brew as beautiful to look at as it is delicious to drink. Although a scented tea such as this may be delicate, it is often possible to be used to brew several pots of tea before it loses its scent and taste altogether.
If you are preparing scented tea but do not want to use teas that have been made with blossoms, you may want to consider a variety which has been made with lavender or other ingredients. These can often add an amazing taste ...
... to the tea as well as providing it with a strong but attractive aroma. This kind of scented tea will often have a delicate flavour as the herbs that are used are selected in order to improve or accent the taste of the tea that is being brewed. Although they may have ingredients that do influence the flavour they may not be as strongly flavoured as the many varieties of flavoured teas that are on the market.
Flavoured tea often uses ingredients such as fruit, herbs and spices in order to change the taste of the tea. One popular variety that you can try is apple cinnamon tea. This will often have a strong aroma to it making it a great choice as a flavoured tea. Often the tea that is used will be one that can be quite mild in order to let the other tastes come through. Other types may use a base of strongly flavoured tea leaves that still compliment the fruit, spices or herbs that are used to change the taste.
If you are just getting into trying flavoured tea or scented tea you may want to start by purchasing them in small amounts. This will allow you to sample the different varieties in order to find out which ones you like best. In order to make sure that your flavoured tea tastes as good as possible you need to make sure that you are following the steeping instructions. Some flavoured tea needs to be steeped at a lower temperature and for a longer time than other varieties. This brings out their full flavour and can give you a much better idea of what a particular variety will taste like.
