How To Wear Your Lace Wigs?
Generally, the intensive hair loss issues and pattern baldness was common in men but off late it has also found commonplace on women's crowns due to a variety of external and internal factors. Women these days are fashion conscious and love to experiment with their hair as with their clothes. This leads to use of synthetic and permanent hair dyes, hair straightening and hair curling irons, chemicals for perms and curls and even straightening hair and so on. This result in slow hair thinning process that eventually leads to scanty hair and appearance of the scalp to a great extent. Although there is a handful of good hair loss treatments not everyone can afford it. Besides there are other harmful side effects to consider. Wigs are one such handy hair commodity that comes to the aid of people looking for cheaper and convenient solutions to their hair loss problems.
Amongst wigs the most popular ones these days are lace wigs which are even seen worn by many famous celebs like Beyonce and Tyra Banks. The reason why wearing lace wigs is much preferred among these women is due to the realistic-looks of such wigs that have a ...
... lace underneath which camouflages the hair line with exceptional refinement. The hairline becomes almost undetectable and these can be worn into high ponytails or pulled back or parted anywhere.
Following are the steps to wear a lace wig:
- Prepare your new hairline by cutting the lace back to the hairline.
- While cutting take care you do not cut any of the hair.
- Now place the wig in front of your actual hairline instead of over it. This would ensure that the glue does not reach your actual hairline.
- Clean the skin below the hairline with a soft cloth and ensure the skin has zero moisture. Also, ensure the skin ahead of your actual hairline is free of natural skin oils at that moment also from any hair, to ensure a perfect finishing.
- Now dab or spray a scalp protector on the region where you would apply the glue.
- Let the scalp protector dry completely before you apply the glue.
- Before you place the glue pull back the hair on the lace wig such that no hair gets accidently stuck to the glue.
- Now carefully apply the glue on the skin in front of your actual hairline.
- Let the glue dry for half a minute either with a blow dryer or naturally.
- This step is crucial since you must know whether the glue texture is perfect to have the wig attached to it such that it stays intact for days to come.
- Now, slowly fix the edge of the wig hairline on the glued skin and press evenly and gently all over. Repeat the steps for your nape and sides.
- Style your hair only after 15-20 minutes of fixing your lace wig on the glue.
