Are you racking your brains trying to figure out how to stop your German shepherd from barking excessively? Barking unnecessarily and making noise at nothing is the only down side practically of owning some dog breeds. When our dog barks loudly at nothing it is frustrating.

Through this article I intend to share with you the strategy to manage and further cease the unreasonable barking of our beloved pet, the German shepherd.

Basically for three reasons barking is a pretty common problem with German Shepherds.

Firstly, they are herding dogs by nature, and barking is one of the ways that they round up the cattle to keep things under control.

Secondly, they are very much people dogs, and many of us do not realize that the reason bark is we are leaving our German shepherd alone too often.

Lastly they might be feeling anxious and bored, and need definite training to avoid creating such a racket.

German Shepherds may even start a violent reaction by barking if it finds someone in our territory trespassing.

· We need to ...
... take time to teach our German shepherd the Quiet command. Barking is a form of communication for him, so we can't dismiss his barks always as noise. The Quiet command definitely helps us to keep his actions under control as well as tolerable to our neighbors.

· We have to sometimes show him that nothing is present, and he looks at us with a feeling of sorrow in his eyes.

· I think our beloved pet wants to convey certain things to us through excessive barking, this may be a message to share with us and if we listen to them they might stop unnecessary barking.

· So next time your dog starts barking do listen to it and you are sure to be surprised at the way he sees the things and helps us to achieve the balance between our relationship with him.

· Sometimes listening to him makes our life a lot more comfortable and further we have a happy, loyal and quiet German shepherd instead of a barking one.

Feel free to add more suggestions if you find more from your own experiences with German shepherds.
