This Linux based Dreambox is not originally developed by Dream Multimedia rather it came into existence due to Tuxbox project which was developed for Dbox2. This Dbox2 was designed for the pay TV services by Kirch Media. But, somehow unfortunately, this Kirch Media got bankrupt and their boxes were left unsold in the market.
