Scotchman products, including Scotchman cold saws, have a rich history in the industry, starting when Art Kroetch, founder of Scotchman Industries, starting crafting and selling farm products like pickup stock racks, corral panels, gates and chutes. In 1966, Scotchman received the patent for its hydraulic ironworker, the first machine of its kind in the world, and started manufacturing ironworkers that use 35-ton force that punches, bends, and shears metal. 1978 saw Scotchman Industries introduce Excel Manufacturing Ltd. in Winnepeg, Manitoba, and started production on a line of ironworkers ranging fro 3-ton to 90-ton capacities for the world market. Today, Scotchman Industries, Inc. carries a line of thirteen different ironworks, ranging from 45- to 150-ton capacities.

In 1983, Scotchman started distribution of circular cold saws for BEWO of Holland; in 1988, Scotchman started a joint venture with BEWO in which it began to manufacture cold saws in the U.S., and in 1993, Scotchman acquired BEWO’s partnership interest. Scotchman cold saws are still manufactured in Philip, SD, and in 1997, Scotchman introduced ...
... two automatic cold saw, the HFA and RFA (Hitch Feed Automatic and Roller Feed Automatic models), with supply tables and/or bundle loaders. In March 2002, Scotchman rolled out its column cold saw, with a rigid column frame.

The drill incorporates different ribs to maintain stability and accuracy through each specific job and also gives the entire machine a long lasting quality that is maintained. The machine is able to control the temperature, which is one of the greatest features over other hand-operated drills that sit on a worktable or on the floor. With temperature control it allows a better quality end product that is free from any defects or discoloration due to high temperatures. These machines will also drastically improve efficiency in the business opposed to hand operated drills with higher speeds of drilling and repositioning the materials.

Scotchman cold saws come in manual, non-ferrous, automatic, and column-style. Manual cold saws feature clean, straight burr-free cutting, easy mitering and are safe to operate, with no sparks, heat, or burring. They are durable and heavy-duty, for years and years of high production, available in a wide variety for any number of different applications.

The non-ferrous cold saw line offers the cleanest cuts for solid or extruded aluminum. Burr-free cuts are straight, and the machines offer simple mitering, and come in operation modes from manual to fully automatic.

Automatic cold saws quickly cut through materials, with accuracy and no burring. Featuring rigid high-speed steel blades, double clamping, fully cooled or mist-lubricated, dual controls of feed pressures and rates, they are the top of the line when it comes to burr-free accuracy in a cold saw.

Scotchman HFA Series cold saws use an automatic shuttle vise feed system, which can handle up to 30-inches in a single stroke, and up to three strokes, standard. The RFA cold saws use a roller feeding system, that make quick work of longer-length parts, made in 60” standard, or 90”-120” out-feed (optional) stops. Supply tables or bundle loading attachments make up the in-feed system.

The CLM 350SA is a column cold saw, featuring a rigid column design, allowing cuts in up to 4” solid tool steel, quickly and cleanly. It can handle tough alloys and heavy wall tubes, and can be operated with either the dual push-button start or with an optional foot pedal. It starts, clamps, cuts, returns, and unclamps, all with minimal operator interaction, providing superior high-production run capability in just about any setting.Machine Values carries a wide variety of Scotchman cold saws, new or used, with blades available for any machine.
