One of the important museums every traveler should stop by at is the Galleria dell’Accademia. Its most renowned piece de resistance is of course the masterpiece by Michelangelo. It has been seen time and again on posters, t shirts and post cards all over the world but seeing it in person is an experience indeed. The museum has a huge and stunning collection and its space is being expanded to allow the public to view so many of its treasures which have been in storage due to lack of space. There are numerous classical and neoclassical sculptures and frescoes that will completely enthrall the visitors. With numerous antiquities here, people from all over the world visit and return having seen many unique and beautiful pieces. There are 45 large rooms which hold paintings and art work by famous Renaissance painters like Da Vinci, Botticelli, Verrocchio, Caravaggio and more.
