"Love handles" is a pretty name given to a very serious and embarrassing problem. Love handles or spare tires are more common in men than in women because men tend to store fat in their midsection. However, there are also women struggling to get rid of them. They become more visible with age and they are the result of a sedentary lifestyle, with lots of food and drinking. When love handles show up, it is pretty clear that you have a weight problem and you need to lose fat not only from the abdominal area, but from all over the body.

Lower ab fat can also signalize serious health conditions because it was proven that people having them are more likely to develop heart disease. This being the cases there are lots of people wondering how to get rid of love handles and lower ab fat especially because when you are on a fat loss program, they are the last ones that go away.

Although they are very stubborn and they can make you go through very hard times, there are methods for getting rid of love handles. Change your diet drastically in order to start burning fat, but as I earlier mention don't expect to see your love ...
... handles diminishing quickly because they are the last ones that will go away. What you can do to speed up this process is to also exercise regularly while on a fat burning diet. Your workout routine needs to incorporate both fat burning exercises that will lower your total body fat and targeted exercises for the midsection. However, make sure you are practicing such exercises regularly because otherwise they won't have the expected results.

When thinking about how to get rid of love handles and about target exercises for this body part, most people think about crunches. They are indeed effective because they will also tone the midsection muscles, but they can become pretty boring. This is why you can also try other effective exercises and include some variety in your routine. You can do classic crunches and alternate them with twist crunches, for working more muscle groups at once. Leg flutters are also effective because the back muscles are also involved in the way your midsection looks like. It is not just the front part of your body that needs to be worked for getting rid of this problem and few people realize this. Also practice leg lifts or trunk rotations for example and you will soon say goodbye to love handles and lower ab fat.
