Nintendo introduced their latest gaming console, the Wii, back in 2006. In December of 2009, the Wii broke sales records and became the best selling console in a month in the US.

The introduction of the Wii revolutionized the way people played video games. It brought a new level of interactivity to the gaming world. Players now had to get up off the couch and move along with their characters on the screen, and people loved it. The wireless Wii controller was totally different, and allowed users to swing it like a bat or tennis racket, and their character would respond in kind. It responds to how level it is held, and can even be turned sideways and used as a more traditional game controller. Each game interacts differently with the Wii remote, challenging users to constantly evolve their gaming skills.

Nintendo also integrated the internet in whole new ways with the Wii. Users could now access their Netflix accounts to download and watch movies instantly without ever getting up.

So, what was the promised price for all this state of the art gaming technology? Nintendo’s basic Wii ...
... sells for about $200. That includes the Wii console, the motion sensor bar, Wii Sports †a highly interactive game, Wii Sports Resort †an updated version of Wii Sports, one remote (so if you want to play with someone you’ll need to purchase another remote), and all the cables required to get you going.

However, some online retailers, like TechChic.com, are offering Wii bundles. These often include multiple remotes, multiple games and tons of accessories for a more affordable price than buying all those items separately.

For example, TechChic’s Ultimate Holiday Resort Bundle offers a huge amount of things in one package. In addition to the basic things the Wii comes with, it also comes with Wii Fit Plus, the Wii balance board, a wired dance pad, Wii Ski, a mat for your balance board, and blue silicone cases for the controllers. So, for $460 you’re getting 2 extra games and a host of extra accessories that, if sold separately would cost you a small fortune.

But, there’s a million ways to bundle Wii products, and TechChic has quite a few of them. The Wii Resort Racing bundle includes an extra remote so you can play with someone, Mario Kart and a wheel, and an accessory set †which includes a golf club, a tennis racket, a baseball bat, an extra steering wheel and more. And all this is in addition to the standard things the Wii comes with for about $585 from TechChic.

Another option is the Wii Gamers Resort bundle. It comes with everything the standard Wii package does, an additional remote and Nunchuck, Shrek Carnival Games and Namco Museum remix for a total of 56 games packed into this bundle. TechChic offers this gamers dream for just over $550.

It’s clear there isn’t really any one set price for Nintendo’s Wii, unless you buy the standard Wii. However, online retailers like TechChic.com can often provide the most bang for your buck when it comes to bundling Wii products. Visit www.techchic.com today to see what deals are available today.
