To research for the best font for blogs, is not a single answer, as it depends upon the choice of web designer or content developer, yet my preference for the best font for blogs is Verdana. And in the case, of multiple parts of the blogs, I would suggest a mix of Verdana, Serif and Calibri.

As far as Calibri is concerned it has been included with Microsoft Office 2007 but since a lot of computers don't have that, next in the favorite list is Serif (size 12). Secondly, there might be issues with embedding some fonts in web pages due to license restrictions.

Few fonts are such, there is no any restriction on its use, yet there are some fonts, which add a Microsoft copyright or trademark notice, thus have only been available as part of Microsoft products. These include ‘Verdana', ‘Georgia', ‘Comic Sans MS', ‘Microsoft Sans Serif', ‘Nina', ‘Tahoma', ‘Wingdings', ‘Webdings' and ‘Trebuchet MS'.

We would recommend using simple fonts - the basic usefulness of simple fonts is that, people become familiar with fonts over time and learn to read them. When ...
... they're confronted with one they've not seen before that is quite different they tend to find it harder to read. While this might mean you end up choosing ‘boring' or ‘normal' fonts - it also means your readers don't have to strain to read your blog.

When it is a matter of blog, that is meant for the benefit of all viewers and visitors, thus the font must be easy to read and impressive to give greater impression to its viewers and readers alike. Mostly sites and blogs are putting information via the internet, whether it is for business or personal purpose, which will be read by as many people as possible. The best way to accomplish this is by creating pages that are easily read and easy on the readers' eyes.

First preference to select the best font should be to make the text easily readable and secondly, it should be an eye-pleasing page set-up, you will not keep any reader on your page - no matter how good the actual content is, for more than a few seconds. So what should you be doing (or not doing) to create the best reading environment, by choosing an impressive font as well as aptly narrated content?
