The process of learning is made up of acquiring knowledge and information in various little ways. It just doesn't come your way, you have to gather it. Engaging yourself in different kind of activities acts as a source and helps you absorb that knowledge. Observation is the first step towards any such endeavour and when it is fuelled by inquisitiveness and the hunger to know more, it acts like sugar on honey. It has to be backed by hard work as well (it might bring a lot of pain and seem threatening but it surely is very rewarding).

The desire to know the unknown, to charter the uncharted is inherent in most of us. In fact we are learning something or the other all the time consciously or unconsciously.
Learning activities can include almost anything under the sun, for example, dancing bhangra or salsa, learning to play piano (or any instrument for that matter), making pizzas, baking cakes, pursuing acting skills, learning pottery, singing, learning needlework, acrobatics or yoga, graphology, and the list goes on and ...
... on. But one should choose the activity that they would love to pursue.

Also kids gain a lot from learning activities like swimming, dancing, drawing, baseball and other sport activities. Kids should partake in the activities that they are interested in, and also it is important to note that parents should listen when their kid says I don't want to do this anymore.

Besides acquiring new skills learning activities help you stay busy. The very famous proverb, an idle mind is a devil's workshop, is like one of the best secrets mankind has managed to unravel. The more one keeps himself busy the better it is for him. Once you get into an activity which allows you to learn something however significant or insignificant it is, it helps you to take your mind off worries, makes you learn new stuff and at the end of the day does add to the ‘you' in you.

After all, time spent learning is never lost. Once you acquire it, it stays with you for the entire lifespan of yours. Learning activities can actually be real fun once you realize that it benefits you in more ways than one, as in the case of acrobatics, which incorporates the extensive use of gymnastic elements. It also lets you do magic with agility, body balance and motor coordination. Not only does it keep you occupied, it raises your fitness bar, increases your appetite, tones your body, helps you shed those extra ounces of adipose tissues and infuses you with a hell lot of confidence.
