Termite Inspections—Removing those Unwanted Pest

Termites are considered amongst the worst pests that are not only hard to control, but are very damaging for any house. These pests, also known as white ants, are found in warm regions where they can breed and spread easily. They are mostly found in the base of a house, and their best hideout is the wood-frames, may it be a windowpane, doors, or inside the wooden-frame of roofs.

Timber-framed structures are considered to be most vulnerable, as termites attack houses made of timber wood. Pest inspections techniques for termites include Visual Inspection. Termites are difficult insects to detect, therefore, its visual inspection is hard because it hides inside the wooden frames with which the structure of house is built, for example, the roof cavity, which seems quite inaccessible.

Invasive Inspection, another method of pest inspections, requires the removal of sections of building where these pests can be found, but this only depends on the extent of damage that it impossible to get an access to ...
... the affected area. This method should only be carried out by a trained and qualified inspector, having a background of construction and building trades.

Many pest inspections are also carried out through Thermal Imaging Termite Detection Equipments, which are highly sensitive in determining the location of pest. It detects the variation in the temperatures to find out where is the termite activity taking place inside the wooden structure, which would otherwise be impossible to locate. Through its use, Invasive Inspection can be skipped that would cost you a lot compared to other pest inspections.

Applying termiticide in the soil as barrier around the house is another effective method of pest inspections. It is applied around the pipes, conduits, footings and under the slab during the construction of house. Among other pest inspections, , termiticide foam is also used. It is prepared from crushed granite or steel mesh cloth for moisture control, physical barrier and wood elimination.
