Email Marketing has lost much of its power due to many spam messages received during the early days of the internet. However, it has since seen resurgence thanks to targeted opt-in lists and more careful usage of this form of marketing in recent times. Although Email Marketing cannot be considered a strong up and coming local marketing trend, it is still important to know about it.

Certain local marketing trends that are still very new but starting to gain prominence includes blogging, corporate videos, social media marketing and mobile marketing. The latter 2 especially are gaining popularity at an alarming rate and all serious business owners should look at them as rising local marketing trends.
