Default Pst File Is Not Opening In Outlook

For resolving this issue, first of all contact your system administrator to check the availability of the network server where your .pst file is located. If everything is fine, then go with second step of repairing corrupted PST file (if this is the case). If PST file is corrupt, then you can fix PST file or repair it using Outlook's inbuilt utility known as Inbox Repair tool or Scanpst.exe. Before going for any repairing thing, you must take a backup of PST file. It's always good to have a backup beforehand. now, follow the given below steps to use the Inbox Repair Tool:



Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files Or Folders.



Type scanpst.exe in the Named box, and then click Find Now.



In the list of found files, double-click the Scanpst.exe file.



Specify the name of the .pst file that you want to repair, or click Browse to browse for the .pst file.



Click Start.



Once the Inbox Repair tool repairs corrupt PST file, it creates a log file with the same name as the .pst file having a .log extension. For example, a file named Mailbox.pst is repaired, then the log file is gets the name Mailbox.log.
