I am not a Dyson vendor. This is a real appraisal.

Initially all vacuums were bagless. All vacuums only used a cloth dirt bag to surround the airborne debris and dirt and pet hair. They leaked dirt and odors, but they were significantly better than utilizing nothing at all. Subsequently paper liners were introduced to very dramatically cut down on the particles.

The bags were a big step up because they cut down on the odors kept in the fabric outer bag, and the filth and dirt could be thrown away with no dust cloud forming around the vacuum cleaner.

About 1985 the bagless vacuum cleaner became accepted. First, bagless vacuums had a definite advantage over bagged vacuums.

The HEPA filter that all bagless vacuums use stops just about all the particles and odors from leaking out the vacuum cleaner exhaust. The excellent news was that the HEPA filters blocked airborne debris from spewing out.

The awful news is that the filters clogged up fast. They clogged more rapidly if the air flow had high dampness or if you were vacuuming dog and cat dander and hair. The pet dander sticks ...
... to the filter and restricts air flow. The slowing air flow is also what cooled the motor.

The motors in bagless vacuum cleaners tend not to stay fresh as long as bagged vacuums on account of this constrained airflow to the motor in bagless vacuums.

Now we have a local business selling vacuums and filters in Wooster Ohio. The two primary reasons shoppers ask us about bagless vacuums is: 1) The shoppers want to save money on bags, or 2) The shoppers want less dirt.

Bagless vacuum cleaners like the Dyson, use a HEPA filter to impede the dirt. These filters are very effectual. The filters also need to be changed not less than annually (more often if you have young kids or pets) and, they are not inexpensive, $29 - $59 each one.

It's always impracticable to spend as much for bags. High filtration bags may cost you a buck or two apiece. You'll expend less money on the bags than for the bagless filters, even though you change the bags repeatedly.

Less airborne debris?

Do you have rubbish cans at home? Do you have rubbish can liners? Why? Because it's far more hygienic whenever you throw out the paper filter bag rather than of dumping the can with all the airborne debris being thrown into the air.

Almost all high end vacuums now have micron filtration bags along with a HEPA filter material at the exhaust of the vacuum cleaner. The micron filtration bags offer first-rate filtration, and they will not clog up and limit airflow such as HEPA filters in bagless vacuums. The HEPA filter at the exhaust takes much longer to get grubby because the dirt is trapped in the high filtration paper liner.

Less pricey vacuums are almost all without a bag. The money is in the filters, not the disposable vacuum cleaners. The higher end vacuums almost all use high filtration inner bags.

The exception to this is the Dyson. It is a well built vacuum cleaner that is definitely not inexpensive. Starting at about $399, dyson vacuums are the top of the line in bagless vacuums.

Because you own pets, the dog and cat dander is what sticks to the bagless HEPA filters. We also recommend to dog and cat owners that they use a vacuum cleaner with a charcoal filter to block and deactivate the pet odors.

What's more, natural fiber brushes on your vacuum cleaner's roller brush will not entrap the dog dander and hair in the roller.

My wife and I certainly hope these ideas help you.
