Remove Acne Scarring

Scarring from acne can be both embarrassing physically and take a toll on you emotionally. Your face is what you present to the world, and if you have unsightly acne scarring, it can make you self-conscious and not the confident person you were meant to be.
To remove acne scarring, there are many options available on the market. The treatment you decide upon depends on a few factors, including the size, depth and coloration of the scar, and how you are advised by your dermatologist or general practitioner. Acne scarring can affect your face, neck, back and arms. Your face and any visible area can be not only embarrassing, but slightly painful. You might have already tried typical over-the-counter remedies for the blemishes themselves, and found that they do nothing for the scars left behind. There are even some homeopathic remedies you might have used, with the same results: The blemishes leave, but the scars remain. Scar tissue is an entirely different kind of problem than are the blemishes associated with acute or chronic acne. This tissue damage can be permanent, and if you want to do something about it, ...
... a permanent solution is necessary.
If you have extensive scarring, you might opt for surgical or other non-surgical procedures. Your dermatologist can advise you as to different methods for scar removal, all of which require office visits and potential exhaustive medical procedures.
Options include dermabrasion, where a doctor removes the top layers of skin with an abrasive sander. Another surgical option is called “punch grafts,†where small amounts of skin from elsewhere on your body are punched out and used to fill the larger “craters†in your face left by acne. Chemical peels are another way to go to remove acne scarring, with acids applied to the scars and left for a few minutes to eat away the scar tissue. Some people go the laser treatment route, opting for high-energy lights to be applied directly to scars to remove layers of affected skin.
Steroid injections are available, put right into the scar tissue, on a doctor-decided limited basis. And if all else fails, serious surgery might be an option. Plastic surgery can remove damaged facial tissue and replace it with skin from another part of your body. Often, repeated surgical procedures are required.
If your scars are bothersome and even relatively severe, however, there are other options. Creams and topical ointments are available that can lessen the look and feel of scars, without invasive and perhaps painful surgical procedures. One such product to remove acne scarring is the InvisiScar® dermal patch, which is infused with a patented substance that can greatly reduce the redness and protrusion of scars, while creating softness that was not there before.
With regular use, you can see the difference in the appearance and texture of the scars, easing the need to consider surgical intervention. InvisiScar® is a viable option to try before you go all the way to invasive, expensive, painful surgery for your scarring.
