Josh Barnett is a man that was born to fight. He was born more than 30 years ago, in 1977, and has spent a large portion of his life training to become that fighter that he is today. Fighting has become popular over the years, attracting thousands of people to the sport. Each of these people has dreams of becoming the greatest fighter in the world. While most of these people never pan out to become more than just another fighter, there are some people that stand out. Josh Barnett is definitely one of those fighters that stands out from the majority of other fighters in the world.

Josh Barnett is a fighter that fights in the heavyweight division. This is widely considered to be the toughest division to fight in. These fighters within the heavyweight division employ a rare blend of speed and strength that is only seen from the best of athletes in any sport. While you may look at Barnett's face and think that he is not much, you can look at the rest of him and realize that he is not a man to mess with.

Many people look at Barnett with his baby face and think that he could never amount to much as a fighter. This baby ...
... face of his has earned him the nickname of The Baby Faced Assassin. While his face looks like that of a young man, he stands at six foot three and weighs 250 pounds. To go along with this strong, quick build he has a reach of 76 inches.
Barnett is trained in the arts of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and he employs a fighting style of Catch Wrestling. He is a fighter that has had a tremendous amount of success over the years and remains one of the top 10 fighters of his class in the world today.

His MMA record is definitely one to be proud of. In his career he has fought 31 fights. In these fights he has managed to win 26 times. He has only lost 5 fights to this point in his career. Of his 26 wins he has managed to put his opponents down by way of knockout 6 times. He has also managed to defeat his opponent by putting them into submission 16 times. To think that he has put his opponents through enough pain to end fights early 22 times over the course of his career is simply amazing.

He is a former Heavyweight Champion, but had the title stripped from him for controversial reasons. We live in a world where many people have turned to supplements in order to enhance their performance. Barnett is among those that have turned to this avenue to perform at a higher level. He lost his title because of the use steroids. He has tested positive for steroids three times over his career. While he has had an impressive career overall, this sort of information certainly tarnishes the accomplishments that he has achieved over the years.
