Why Combi Boilers Are So Efficient?

There are a variety of heating systems to consider when you decide on how best to heat your home and provide an efficient supply of hot water. Conventional water heaters, condensing boilers and immersion heaters are all useful and each have their own pros and cons. A combi boiler is a unit which not only provides heated water for your homes central heating; it also provides water that is hot immediately when you open a hot tap. Below, we are going to look into the reasons as to why combi boilers are so efficient.
Savings on water costs: Water that is hot is supplied without the need to install a pump to the plumbing system. This means that you can have a hot power shower almost immediately, as the hot water is delivered directly from the mains supply at a high pressure.
An endless supply of warm water is available because there is no cylinder that has to be heated first, thus a more economical flow of hot water. Water is only heated when and if you need it and you will not run out of hot water, regardless of how many others have used hot water before you.
It is also possible to install more than one unit ...
... in your home. This will give you more control over the time and temperature settings in different areas of your home. You may choose to install one each up and downstairs and will of course ensure that you have a back-up should either of them break down.
Space saving
If you live in a home or apartment where space is limited and particularly where there is no ceiling space or loft where a hot water cylinder can be installed, then you need look no further.
Combining the water cylinder and timer and removing the need for a storage tank, because the water is fed directly from the mains supply, reduces the space needed.
Again the option of installing more than one unit in your home allows you to install smaller units, which are easier to accommodate, rather than a larger one to supply the entire home.
Saving on installation costs: When installing your heating system with a combi boiler at its centre, you are able make significant savings in respect of both the costs of labor and supplies. There is no need to install a water tanks and the pipes and controls needed for these to operate.
Last but not least, if you have or would like to have and airing cupboard the combi boiler can be installed and you can use the residual heat to air your laundry (in private). Doesn't all of this sound good to you?
