Sometimes we suddenly get sick for no reason at all. Little did we know that this is caused by the germs and bacteria that we have carried in our handbags and taken home with us. Our handbags are like magnets to germs, they can get attached to our handbags and make their way into our food and make us sick.

We always thought that we get sick with diarrhea only by eating undercooked meat and drinking contaminated water but we can carry E Coli bacteria into our homes through the handbags that we carry around with us when we go out of the house. By placing it on the surface of where we prepare and eat our food, we unwittingly fall prey to the disease causing germs that have attached themselves to it. We might wonder where on earth did the germs find the chance to get into our handbags. Well, at one time or another, we might have used the public washroom and put the handbag on the floor where these bacteria thrived.

Another one is Salmonella, a germ that can cause diarrhea, flu, conjunctivitis, herpes and other ailments. It can be found in feces and on food that are contaminated. It can be transferred the same ...
... way as the E Coli, through placing your handbag on surfaces that are contaminated with the bacteria.

Even the things that we place inside our bags are germ carriers themselves. Our cellular phones are prone to attracting germs and bacteria while we need to refrain from sharing our personal items like lipsticks and other makeup items because we wouldn't know if the person we lend our makeup to is suffering from an infection caused by exposure to certain germs. The money that we use in our daily purchases is also very dirty whether they be paper or coins. When using a water bottle, be sure that it is washed often to discourage bacteria from settling in.

We carry our handbags anywhere we go, to the restaurants, cinemas, and the restrooms. Taking extra care of where we place our handbags while we eat or use the restrooms is a step towards avoiding any disease causing germs from getting onto them and making us sick. We need to clean our handbags regularly and it can help if we use disinfectant in cleaning the surface and handles of our handbags. To help us keep our handbags germ and bacteria free, we need to learn how to clean and store them properly.

You can also keep your purse clean with a purse hanger (purse hook/handbag hook) by hanging it up and keeping it off the floor every time you go out. Visit Cherry Swansin's handbag accessories blog for a large range of purse hooks, purse hangers and handbag hooks in the UK.
