Wearing a wig is a great way to have a stylish hairdo with little or no effort on your part. But once a person starts looking for the right style to buy, they may be confused by the huge number of styles available. The style should suit the shape of a person's face. But which styles look good on which faces?

An oval shaped face is one of the most common shapes. An oval is shaped like an egg, so the person with an oval shaped face has a forehead and cheekbones that are about the same width as the jawline, with the chin gradually getting smaller in width.

A person with an oval face has a perfectly balanced face. Your cheeks, jaw and chin are nicely balanced. Because of this balance, any style of hairdo or wig looks good on a person with an oval face.

Round faces are short and wide at the forehead and at the jawline with a smaller chin. People with round faces look better if they have some height to the crown of their hairstyle. This will give the round faced person the appearance of a slimmer, longer face.

The round face does not need width in the hairstyle at all, only height at the crown of the head. A wig ...

A square face has a wide forehead, cheeks and chin. Create the illusion of length by choosing a hairstyle with height at the crown of the head, but not width at the sides of the face. Avoid accenting a broad jawline by choosing a hair length that goes either above or below the jawline. A layered wig can also help the square face appear softer and sharp edges of the face, as well.
