When you own a vehicle that is committed to doing work for you by carrying loads better handling is more important than a very high acceleration and a very high top speed. Of course you want a nice and powerful engine but once you have that you are not going to zip around in it like you would in a sports car. Rather you want a solid reliable performance that makes the drive as stress free as possible and leaves you with mental and physical energy to accomplish all the other tasks that make up your work day.

Of course one doesn't need to be told that the vehicle that does so much work for us and is so essential to our operations needs to be maintained well. But it is possible that you are too busy with other things and are not able to spend time in optimizing how the vehicle is maintained. For example if the tires need to be changed you may not spend too long deciding which are the best tires to replace it with. Though on the other hand you may still find time to choose tires with some care but for other replacement products you may not be spending much time at all. Say the brake pads. But it does make a difference if ...
... you choose them well. And if you own a great vehicle such as a Honda you will find that the latest Honda brake pads do make a difference to the braking performance of the Pickup.

Brake pads are a simple component to understand. They are pads that are pressed against the brake rotors to generate friction. This friction slows down the rotation of the wheel of the car and ultimately brings it to a halt. Like other components brake pads too keep improving with time and the latest brake pads will be more durable and will be able to withstand the heat generated better giving you a better braking performance. In the old days brake pads also caused gases to be generated when they got heated which adversely affected the braking performance. The new ones do not produce much gases.
