A Detailed History Dealing With The Development Of The Automotive Vehicle
The next step began by Leonty Shamshurenkov in 1752 who constructed an "auto-running" carriage that included four wheels, however it was pedal operated and was sadly never made into a proper working automobile.
Then in 1769 Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot modified a horse drawn carriage into a mechanical creation that had the ability to propel itself forward. It appears however, that there is some argument over this incident because there is evidence of some witness testimony that shows that the motor vehicle never worked properly.
The automotive that is believed to be the initial steam powered vehicle on the road was created in the early 19th century and was known as the Puffing Devil road locomotive. It appears that is particular structure drew heavily on the workings of a train steam engine yet it could not maintain steam pressure and proved to be unsuccessful.
The first ever internal combustion engine was implemented in 1807 by Nicephore Niepce and his brother Claude, which was coined as a Pyreolophore, but is was set up in a boat and not in a car as such. The solution to the problem was put forward by Francois ...
... Isaac de Rivaz who designed the first car to be powered by an internal combustion engine.
Almost a century later, we witness Gustave Trouve coming up with a car that only had three wheels, ran on the power of electricity and was shown to all at the Parisian International Exposition of Electricity. As this vehicle did not use non-renewable energy resources like petrol and gas it was a major turning point in the car industry.
Regardless of the fact that the initial hard labour was completed by the largely unknown figures spoken of above, it was a while later when Karl Benz put his hand in to the mix of manufacturing vehicles that the car industry gained a sure footing.
A gasoline engine with a four-stroke capacity was developed by Benz in 1885, which was built in Mannheim, Germany. This formed the basis of his company and three years later a new model of car was on sale.
In the early years not many vehicles were sold - only 25 cars were bought between 1888 and 1893. Nevertheless, the industry was just beginning back in those days and this diminutive figure was all the firm needed to boost its public presence.
Then a licensing agreement was set up by Benz with Emile Roger, who built and sold vehicles by Benz in the European country of France. This marked one of the primary motor car agreements on the globe and assisted the industry in its money making capabilities, because a unique business was selling in two countries.
After this time, large scale production lines were established specially by Henry Ford and Ransom Olds at his Oldsmobile factory. As a result, Ford was able to manufacture a new car every 15 minutes, which got the firm its name as the biggest car manufacturing firm on the face of the earth.
It seems strange to believe that this little chain of events would set the world up with the motor car industry as it's known today. It appears that now there is an abundance of extras included too, like sat-navs, safety locks, child seats, purchase hire agreements, BMW leasing deals and sun roofs. Yet, who knows what the future will hold for the car industry.
