There are times throughout the year such as Halloween, themed costume parties, and theatrical performances that you will need costume wigs to complete your character. There are costume wigs for every type of character you can think up. They come in all lengths, colors, styles and for both adults and children. Most are made of synthetic materials and reasonably priced.

Before you search for a costume wig to purchase, you will want to have a character and costume in mind. Popular this year is dressing up as Alice in Wonderland. Characters such as Alice, Mad Hatter, White Rabbit, Red Queen and March Hare are easy to create with clothing from second-hand or costume stores. Alice is easy to put together with a blue dress, white apron, black shoes and a long blonde wig with hair ribbons.

The Mad Hatter will need the orange wig designed like the character in the 2010 movie, Alice in Wonderland. Add the top hat, colorful bow tie and suit and you have just created the Mad Hatter. The Red Queen needs a short curly red wig with a gold crown attached on top of her head. Find any long black formal gown, trim with red and white ...
... and the Red Queen is ready to go. The White Rabbit and March Hare actually do not need costume wigs, but furry ears to create their characters. For the White Rabbit, find a suit vest and pocket watch so you can finish the costume.

Of course there are so many other characters to create by using costume wigs. Pick a movie or television star and there is a wig to finish the costume and become Marilyn Monroe or Lucille Ball. Or is there a favorite decade such as the 60's or 70's that you remember and want to flash back to for the night? There are costume wigs to become a hippie, Beatle, disco or rock star. Just remember to pick the character or theme, find the costume or clothing and then finish it with a costume wig. Now you are ready to go to your costume party or theatrical event in character.
