During holiday seasons, every parent starts thinking about how to keep their kids engaged in a constructive way. Depending upon the child's interests, some parents get their children enrolled for music classes, some for sports and some encourage their creative streak. If your kid is inclined towards creating things, then teaching him to make beaded wire bunny would be a great idea. Making this pretty beaded bunny would be a fun as well as a learning exercise for your little one. Here is a step wise instruction guide to this incredible and exciting beading project.

What you would need:

Beads of sizes between 1-10mm and 1-12mm,

Craft Wire of approximately 12 inches of gauge,

40 seed beads of size 11,

Wire Cutters,

Round-nosed Pliers

Procedure of Making

1.Cut the craft wire into two pieces of 6 inches each. Curl the two ends of these wires together using the round-nosed pliers.

2.String one bead each of 8mm and 12mm through both the wires and clasp the curled ends to the bottom of the 12 mm bead. This will ...
... become the body and the head of the bunny.

3.To make the bunny ears, first, carefully separate the two wires from each other.

4.Put 20 seed beads in one of the two wires. Bend it from the middle leaving 10 beads on each side.

5.Wrap the remaining wire around itself for about 4 to 5 times and you will see a lovely formation of bunny ears evolving as a result. Cut any extra wire.

6.Repeat the same process for the other ear.

7.Once both the ears are in shape, spread them to both the sides and bend one of the ears slightly more than the other to make it look prettier.

A beaded bunny could not only be used for decoration but also as a fashion accessory for your little girl. For example, it could be worn as a pendant by wrapping the craft wire near the base of the ear creating a firm loop to hold the chain. Also, you can make earrings out of these charming bunnies by using comparatively smaller and lesser number of beads to make the body, head and the ears. This will reduce the size of the bunnies to suitably fit your ears. Beaded bunnies can be made in different sizes and colors. This will allow your child to think out of the box and spend his leisure time productively.
