3. Only Links from High PR sites matter: This is something more than a myth. On line marketers tend to consider it as a universal truth. Quite often on line marketers choose a high PR site as their link partner. And this is where they ruin it all for themselves. Building links on a high PR site does not mean that those links will fetch the maximum traffic and ranking. What if the pages of that particular high PR site you have build links on, lie buried deep.
4. Links are permanent: This must ring the bells for you. Link building is a tedious process which continues for a long long time. It would, in fact, not be wrong to say- forever. Now if a link building firm says that it will build permanent links for you, you must realise there is something fishy. Links can be removed. Moreover, sometimes a full fledged website cease to exist. That is why link building process should never end.
5. Google does not count links from pages with low PR: This concept is completely overrated. Yes, it is true that Google gives more preference to the site which has links from high PR web sites. But it is very difficult to get even 20 links from a high PR site. Whereas it is easier to get around 50 or more links from a site which has comparatively low PR.
