First we should start from operating system if we protect our computers,

only our systems are health, they can do a good job on protecting. The

operating system's security protection mainly contains four aspects

Choose a stable operating system.
One of most popular operating system is Windows, we can select one among the

different types, such as Windows XP.
Patch system regularly.
After we install operating system, we should fix patching program to stem

software flaw and prevent other exploit software loophole to attack our

computers.
The operating system, such as Windows XP, also has some shortcomings,

particular the sharing resources under system default give the virus

attacking opportunities. Hence, we should turn off the system default

sharing resources after we install patching. Backup the operating system in

time.
This step aims to guarantee the security of computer and the data within.

Once system is destroyed, we can renew them quickly with backup.

Second, as we all know, virus can bring many ...
... disadvantages to our computers.

In order to save more repair bills, I advise users had better

install anti-virus software. We can buy this software from the market or

gain some free anti-virus software. But we should know that we must consider

the quality of anti-virus when we select from those different types.

We should disinfect virus with the anti-virus software before we open or

operate some documents and care for the procedure on the internet.

Third, install Network Firewall in computers to prevent attacking from other

network.
Forth, install Trojan Detection System, though we have already install

Network Firewall before.

Forth, install a eradicate spyware which can record users' information.

Then we talk some things which we should take care at usual. The hard disk

is sensitive to vibration, so we can't make big vibration when move it. The

CPU fears high temperature and high-voltage. Though there is a small fan to

protect CPU, with the increasing consumption of current, the heat also

increases, so that CPU's temperature will be rose. It will lead to computer

crashes frequently and shorten the CPU's life; high-voltage is more

dangerous and it is easy to burn your CPU. Therefore, add a fan around

computer and keep it clean, and had better not open the computer when

raining and thundering outside, and match a voltage stabilizer.
At last, whether the outside of the inside of the computer, we should keep

them clean, like CD-ROM, Mouse, Keyboard and so forth.
It is bad for our health when we sit long time in front of computer, so

every computer users also should take care of our health.
