Binaural beat can be very helpful for those who have always been struggling with their meditation practice. These beats had been discovered by Heinrich Wilhelm Dove in the year 1839 and the concept is that when two different frequencies are played and listened to through headsets, the individual would perceive the sound as a pulsating, distinctive beat.

Understanding How It Works

Before you use binaural beat, you would first have to understand how it works. The ears of a human being can perceive sounds that are above 1000 hertz and this beat can be achieved with a variation of around 30 hertz for the desired effect. If there is higher variation, our ears would not be able to perceive the beat and will only hear two different tones. This is an interesting phenomenon which affects the patterns of our brain waves and it can induce different mental states. There is a noted reduction in stress and our mental activity when these beats are used. Relaxation can be easily achieved with the help of these beats.

Using Beats for Deep Relaxation

Binaural beats can be immensely helpful for deep relaxation. ...
... Meditation has been used for centuries in various countries for relaxation. While most of us have been taught to be productive and to not waste our time, this busy lifestyle can lead to several problems in life. It is difficult for most of us today to meditate or relax at all. There are several people that try to take some time out for meditation but they find it difficult to relax and quieten their mind. By using these beats, it is possible to alter our brain waves and bring them to a meditative state which can be achieved quite easily. Our brain would need to be in an alpha state in order to enjoy meditation. Using these beats, this state can be easily achieved by changing the patterns of our brainwaves. A headphone would have to be used with two different tones which are independently played and the brain would interpret it as a distinctive, third tone.

Our mind normally operates in the beta mode. However, it would shift to alpha when we meditate. This is the state where the body and mind would relax. It could take years for several people to learn how to reach that stage but with the help of this technology, now it can be quite easily achieved. The person can then easily reach the theta state. In this state, the meditation would be deeper and deep relaxation and peaceful mind state can take place. Deep relaxation has many advantages and now you can enjoy those benefits with the help of binaural beat.
