Taking part in the raw food diet allows one to eliminate white sugar, alcohol and artificial ingredients from the food you consume. Instead, vitamins, enzymes and minerals among other healthy substances replace them.

This is why a person taking part in this diet can be able to cope with health complications and lifestyle diseases such as diabetes more easily. Other benefits of this diet include improved moods and a positive body image. These two result from the elimination of harmful substances from the body, which helps, in maintenance of better brain chemistry and loss of weight.

The raw food diet has been used in various cases such as improvement of hair and skin condition, curing rheumatoid arthritis, chronic bronchitis, asthma, pneumonia and allergies. Some people have also used it to eliminate craving for junk food and other habits such as binge eating. It has also been associated with improved athletic performance.
