It is the great wall stands in Northern China. It is a series of stones and earthen fortifications. It is the wall of defense. It built to protect the northern border of Chinese Empire from various nomadic groups. They have been built since the 5th century BC and they stand as a collectivity of big walls. These walls had been rebuilt and maintained from the 5th century BC through the 16th century.

The China Wall stretches from Shanhaiguan in the east to Lop Nur in the west. The history of this wall has started from the spring and autumn periods. Initially, it was like several discontinuous walls but it's a collection of huge walls.

The first set of walls built to keep away the Mongol nomads. They were built of earth and stones in wood frames during the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BCE). Some modifications were made to this historical monument during Ming Dynasty period (1388 - 1644 CE). Ming's modification established in new areas from the Qin's walls.
