Individuals intenting on establishing a healthy weight may find themselves shy of reaching the goal. The last few kilograms present the biggest challenge as the weight loss program reaches a wall. Individuals obtaining this point in the program can find this period more frustrating then each Kg before. There is a way to deal with the final 5 Kg.

The first question a person can ask is whether the goal is set too low. The final few Kgs can be an attempt to reach an unhealthy weight. If not, there are several things a person can consider that are helpful to reach past this wall in an effort to lose weight. Diet and exercise are still the contributing factors for dropping weight.

Exercise is a good supplement to weight loss. A good program typically allows an individual to burn more calories than one consumes. It also can allow a person to eat more and still lose weight. Weight loss is not the only benefit derived, however. Exercise also improves cardiovascular functions strengthening the heart and lungs. A person who exercises routinely can find the exercise itself becomes an easier activity to maintain. An increase ...
... in the exercise program by ten percent burns ten percent more calories. But, the individual cannot have a similar increase in caloric intake.

The diet is also something to be considered. Is there an increase in food consumption during the effort to lose the final Kgs of weight? Calories are hidden in a number of food substances such as the caloric rich flavored coffee and fruit juices. Similar beverages can contribute to calories consumption. A person, for example, can opt for a smaller serving.

A person can also look at what types of food is being consumed. Vegetables provide important nutrition with the least amount of calories. They are never excluded from the diet. Small changes can be focused on meat and dessert intake. Fruits are also a food high in calories. Despite the impeccable nutrition value of most fruits, they possess a great deal of sugar. Berries, low in sugar, are a good replacement for pears, high in sugar. Different types of fruit can provide the same nutrition without the sugar.

It is possible to achieve weight loss goals and work through the proverbial wall with small changes in diet and exercise. Small changes can make a huge impact in dropping the final 5 Kg.

And so the 5kg wall will finally disappear and you might be able to enjoy your body at all times.
