The L180 tape drive supports up to 174 tape cartridges. You can either use 84, 140, 174 configurations. Good news is that the StorageTek L180 library also offers an additional 6 slots for cleaning/diagnostic tape cartridges. You can install 1 to 10 SDLT-320, SDLT-600, LTO-3 and LTO-2 ultrium drives, and 1 to 6 T9940 and T9840 drives. StorageTek L180 library is a smart solution for today's data rich applications and data-intensive environments.
