Commission On Collegiate Interpreter Education
The Commission on Collegiate Interpreter Education CCIE Exams is currently seeking applications forindividuals interested in serving on its Board. In July 2006, thirteen professionals were ap-pointed to the first board of commissioners. As Commissioner's terms end, we are eager to filltheir positions in order to maintain the structure and cohesiveness of the Board.
The CCIE administers a multi-step accreditation process using the National Interpreter Educa-tion Standards initially developed and approved by the Conference of Interpreter Trainers(CIT). The process involves program self-reviews, site visits, and CCIE program reviews. If youhave a passion for serving in a deafness-related field, interpreter education, or sign language in-terpreting, we welcome your application regarding your interest in serving on the CCIE Boardof Commissioners. Individuals are encouraged to self-nominate or nominate other individuals.

Commissioners are appointed to serve terms that expire at varying times to promote continuity.The CCIE schedules monthly conference calls and has a face-to-face meeting at least once ayear. In addition, Commissioners are expected to participate not only in the Commission meet-ings, but also serve as chair on one of our standing committees or on specific projects as deemednecessary by the Board. The Commission on Collegiate Interpreter Education promotes professionalism in the field of interpreter educa-tion through:
Development and updating of interpreter education standards,
Encouragement of excellence in program development,
Accreditation of professional preparation programs,
Promoting national and international dialogue on the preservation of advancement of standards in the fieldof interpreter and higher education, and Application of the knowledge, skills and ethics of the profession in the workplace.
The purpose of this book is to provide Certified Cisco Internetworking Expert (CCIE) candidates a structured roadmap to prepare for ccie service provider boot camp training. Potential topics involved in CCIE certification testing are vast and ever expanding. Originally, CCIE certification focused primarily on routing and bridging. Today, it still covers these topics, but has expanded to ATM and LAN switching. As the scope of internetworking expands, so will the topics
