There is huge anticipation among fans for the release of Junior NTR’s upcoming film ‘Devara,’ slated for September 27.
NTR fans are leaving no stone unturned to watch the movie on its opening day and participate in the usual celebrations. It has been three years since the popular actor last appeared on screen, with his previous film being ‘RRR.’
Although the recent cancellation of the pre-release event at Novotel left fans heartbroken, there is some exciting news to lift their spirits. According to reports, ‘Devara’ has already collected a massive Rs 8 crore in advance bookings, showcasing the Young Tiger's prowess in the film industry. These numbers are likely to increase today, as the Andhra Pradesh government has allowed a price hike on ticket sales in the state.
As reported by Sacknilk, tickets worth Rs 5.10 crore were sold for 1,187 shows in Andhra Pradesh, while in Telangana, bookings have generated Rs 11.58 lakh for 25 shows. In Karnataka, ‘Devara’ has earned ...
... Rs 2.36 crore from 451 shows, and in Tamil Nadu, bookings have brought in Rs 28.12 lakh. In Uttarakhand, NTR’s film earned Rs 1.03 lakh.
In Andhra Pradesh, ticket prices will be increased by Rs 135 in multiplexes, while premium and standard ticket categories will see hikes of Rs 110 and Rs 60, respectively. Additionally, six special midnight screenings have been sanctioned for the movie on its release date.
Helmed by prominent Tollywood director Koratala Shiva, ‘Devara’ also features Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Shruti Marathe, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, and Murali Sharma, among others, in interesting roles.
AP High Court has stayed the orders of the state government, which allowed price hikes on tickets for 14 days. The court reduced the same to 10 days.
