According to Mandsiuk, the winners will not only be celebrated for their accomplishments but will also be seen as pioneers driving transformative change in line with the vision of Net Positive Hospitality. These efforts are crucial steps in the broader goal of creating a more sustainable future for global travel and tourism.

Belize’s Minister of Tourism & Diaspora Relations, Anthony Mahler, highlighted the country’s pride in hosting the inaugural WSTHA event. He stated that the ancient Cahal Pech site would provide a stunning backdrop for the awards, which celebrate those making impactful changes in sustainable tourism. Mahler acknowledged the impressive contributions of all nominees and looks forward to sharing Belize’s own sustainability initiatives with a global audience.
